Azriel Reyes

Azriel Reyes was born as Aliza Ariel Forrest March 26, 1997, to a Puerto Rican mother, and largely white Father.

Currently lives & works in Abilene, TX

 

Azriel has shown a great love of art, design, and comics from an early age, finding comfort in creative pursuits through a great many life struggles. Sadly, being in an abusive home, Azriel was unable to properly pursue a career in such feilds.

However, as of December of 2020, Azriel was able to finally escape that environment. 

​

Starting November of 2021, Azriel Reyes has chosen to use the name Azriel Reyes for her professional works, combining "Aliza" and "Ariel" into "Azriel", and taking up the Maiden name of her late grandmother, who died some time before her birth, "Reyes". Both to honor this relative she never knew, and to further distance herself from the parents and environment she has escaped from.

Under the name "Aliza Ariel Forrest", Azriel Reyes has had her artwork published within Independent Comics, as well as used for the merchandise and marketing surrounding  these comics.

​

Currently, Azriel is seeking remote work while she further establishes herself as an independent adult, no longer held back by codependency and abuse. However, as always, Azriel continues to pursue her art with any time she can find, and continues to hope to be able to make a professional career out of her artwork.

​

Azriel's current planned projects are two short, single issue comics to act as proof of concept, and skill. These projects are "Bravery" and "Ricoché", and work towards them will likely be posted here, on this very website, and various social medias, as they are completed.
